The mission of DAV Model School KSTP, Asansol is to focus on learning for every student every day. The vision of our institution emphasizes the fact that learning is reflected in both achievement and growth. The school treasures 89 faculty members and more than 2500 brimming students.Our students have been consistently achieving excellence in academic as well a co-scholastic field. Students have participated in different Olympiads in English, Maths, Science and ICT conducted by different Govt. agencies, CBSE, Vidyarthi Vigynyan Manthan etc.Our student also participated in various Co-curricular activities such as Debate, Quiz, Recitation, Mock Parliament, Drama, Participation in National Children's Science Congress, Amazon kid Modelling, Book publication etc. and marked position in most of the field. Students have participated in the ISRO CYBERSPACE COMPETITION conducted by ISRO and have secured position there too.
Sports achievements of the school include participation of the students at District and Zonal level Sports Meet conducted by DAV Public/Model Schools, West Bengal Zone, and National level Sports Meet conducted in National level by DAV Management Committee which is approved by School Games Federation of India(SGFI) where students achieved success in various events such as Chess, Karate, Yoga and Taekwondo. Students have also excelled in various sports events conducted by the District Sports Department, Paschim Bardhamaan, West Bengal. Apart from these, students have participated in the Cross- Country Marathon conducted by the school in collaboration with Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate.
There is parent representatives in the School Local Managing Committee to voice their opinion and take part in various decisions of the school. Parents are kept well informed about the progress of their wards at regular intervals through PTM.
School has different clubs as well as students’ council to develop leadership capacity and responsibility among the children which is clearly visible in the personality of our students.
